Never Quit Never

Salt Life Food Shack is happy to align itself with Never Quit, a family-operated local organization whose mission is to educate the community on healthy living in order to avoid brain bleeds, stroke and heart disease.

At the helm of the organization are siblings Karina and Erik Petroni. Karina, an Atlantic Beach resident and professional surfer, acts as the spokesperson and advocate for the cause. Both were inspired to create Never Quit by their father, Captain Gerard Petroni, after he suffered an initial stroke and brain bleed in 2007. Captain Petroni and his family vigorously worked to recover from his stroke and enjoyed a miraculous comeback with over 3 years of sustained quality living before suffering a second stroke and aneurysm on December 31, 2009. Salt Life Food Shack training was the last speaking engagement that Captain Petroni took part in. He will be sorely missed but his mantra will be carried on – Never Quit.

Come in to Salt Life Food Shack on Wednesdays and you too can help support a great cause. Every Wednesday of every week, a portion of proceeds from menu items will benefit the Never Quit organization and its healthy programs in the community.
